Soroptimists are women at their best
working to help other women to be their best.

 What Is Soroptimist?
"Soroptimist" is a latin word meaning "Best for Women" and is an international volunteer service organization for business and professional women who work to improve the lives of women and girls, in local communities and throughout the world.

Soroptimist International of the Arizona Peaks was established March 30, 1968 by a group of committed women in Flagstaff, AZ. SI of the AZ Peaks was a founder of Hope’s Closet whose sole purpose is to provide smart business clothing for women returning to the labor force. We are greatly devoted to improving the lives of women girls in our community. We are proud to be part of an international organization that is committed to this same mission around the world.

Each November, SI of the AZ Peaks hosts an annual Harvest Home Tour. The Home Tour and reception raises funds for many charities in Flagstaff.

In addition to our annual fund raiser, we meet weekly to collectively work on additional service projects, women opportunity awards, scholarships, community service activities and more.

Soroptimist International (SI) is a worldwide organization for women in management and professions working through service projects to advance human rights and the status of women in 125 countries and territories.

Soroptimist International is committed to service to local, national and international communities through their programme focus strategies. They promote active participation in decision making at all levels of society.
